The landscaping at Pine Street Park was enhanced in October 2020 by Clinton Canopy and CHS Ag students in a cooperative effort with the City. Funding was provided by a PARD grant.

We planted 10 shade trees along with dogwoods, redbuds, blueberries, and ornamental bushes and vines.

The canopy trees were provided by the SC Forestry Commission through a program designed to replace invasive species.

The city removed Bradford Pears and Chinese wisteria in various places around town in return for the trees.

The project concluded with Arbor Day when we planted an Overcup Oak in the park.
